A hybrid adventure game with a quirky sense of humour, Double Happy vs. The Infinite Sadness: Pharos uses a distinctive ‘single player co-operative’ control scheme reminiscent of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Players guide two cosmic rabbits (a gift from the universe itself) as they bring light back to a world that has succumbed to the overwhelming power of the Infinite Sadness.
Starting out on the project as a QA tester, I talked my way onto the level design team and was lucky enough to be given the freedom to redesign the final set piece of the vertical slice demo. I also created many of the game’s particle effects, materials, and character animations.
Double Happy won the “Most Creative & Original” award at Game Connection Europe in 2015.
